A place to pause, reflect and feel at home
Sunday worship at Derryvolgie Church is relaxed, welcoming, and centred on helping people connect with God and with one another. Whether you’ve been part of church life for years, are returning after a break, or are simply curious, you are very welcome here.
We’re a Church of Ireland parish in Lisburn, serving families, individuals, and newcomers to the area – and we don’t expect you to have it all figured out before you walk through the door.
When We Meet
🕊 Sunday Morning Worship
Time: 10am
Location: Derryvolgie Church, Lisburn
Our main Sunday service includes worship, prayer, teaching and space to reflect – all in a friendly, down-to-earth atmosphere.
After the Service
After Sunday services, people stay to chat over tea and coffee. It’s completely optional, but it’s a great way to get to know others and ask questions in a relaxed setting.
New to Church? New to Lisburn?
Many people who join us are:
-
New families moving to Lisburn
-
People exploring faith for the first time
-
Those returning to church after many years
-
Individuals looking for meaningful community
You don’t need to be “religious” to attend – just curious, open, or in need of space to breathe.
What to Expect on a Sunday
A Warm Welcome
You’ll be greeted with a genuine smile and no pressure — whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth.
Faith for Everyday Life
Teaching is thoughtful, relevant and focused on how faith connects with real, everyday life.
Easy to Follow Worship
Our services are relaxed and easy to follow, even if church is completely new to you.
Community & Belonging
There’s a real sense of community, where people of all ages feel at home and valued.

Families & Children
Families are a huge part of life at Derryvolgie, and children are genuinely welcome in our Sunday services.
Children usually begin the service with their families, before heading out part-way through to Bible Club, where they can play, learn, create, and explore faith in a way that’s engaging and age-appropriate. It’s relaxed, fun, and designed so children enjoy being there — not just endure it.
Bible Club gives parents space to engage with the rest of the service, while children enjoy activities, stories, and friendships in a safe, caring environment led by our dedicated team.
Alongside Sunday mornings, we also run groups and activities throughout the year through Derryvolgie Kids (DVK) and Derryvolgie Youth (DVY), supporting children and young people as they grow in confidence, faith, and community.
If you’re a family new to Lisburn, you’ll find a church that understands busy lives — school runs, sports clubs, packed weekends — and offers a place where your whole family can feel at home.
